ELANSING, MI Dt. Kirpal Singh Sidhu, a toxicologist and risk assessment expert with the Michigan Department of Public Health, Lansing Michigan was one of the 12 members of the U.S. delectation to the US India Workshop on Environmental Risk Analysis held at New Delhi, India January 2-6, 1995 He served as a member of the International Stoering Committee of US India Workshop. At the conference Dr. Sidha presented an invitational paper titled “Risk assessment for environmental carcinogens. He also chaired a session on health risk assessment
The workshop discussed India’s pre paredness in handling chemical accidents. India had a major chemical disaster 10 years ago at Bhopal in which 30XX0 people died and many were hurt. Dr Sidhu also visited Guru Nanak.
