Dear Editor,

Sat Siri Akal. I have read with interest letter to the editor written by S. Harbir Singh from Paramus, New Jersey on the subject of “SGPC ordinance concerning Non Keshadhari Sikhs” published in the World Sikh News of May 16, 96. I tend to agree with him that need of the hour is not to turn them (non Keshadhari Sikhs) away but to take them along with us and help them come back to become Puran Gursikhs in due course of time. Most of them are better practicing Sikhs in their conduct and morals than some of the Keshadhari ones.

I am writing this not to get into any controversy about the subject but to ask you to please either send me the address and phone number of Harbir Singh so that can contact him, or send him my address and phone number with this letter and request to contact me. Also, I had a chance to read a part of your article about the “White Paper on the Operation Blue Star published.” I am interested in getting a full text of the paper and will appreciate. Sending me a copy of the me from where it can be obtained.

Thank you for your help and cooperation.

Avtar Singh Colonel (retd) Scarborough, Ont. Canada.
