LOS ANGELES: Honorable Congressman Wally Herger of Yuba City declared here that he will continue to voice his concern about human rights violations against Sikhs in Punjab. He was speaking at the reception hosted in his honor by the Sikhs of Southern California at the residence of Mr. and Mrs. Lakhbir Singh Chima, the senior vice president of the World Sikh News on March 4, 1990.
A large number of eminent Sikhs of this area were present on the occasion to extend a standing ovation to the respected guest. The spacious and beautifully decorated house was full to capacity. The swimming pool in the center, marble status, green lawns and tastefully arranged lighting arrangements was adding glamour to the function. The guests in their best dinner suits, were highly impressed with the joyful atmosphere. The guests fully enjoyed the hospitality of Chimas.
