Srinagar — two bomb explosions were reported from Kashmir Valley. One exploded in a shop and the other in a Temple. Ten persons alleged ‘to be connected with the Kashmir Liberation Front have been taken into custody.

Posters have appeared in most towns in Kashmir calling the people to boycott Republic Day celebrations and instead observe February 11 as black day. It may be recalled that Kashmir Liberation Front leader, Mr. Maqbool Bhutt, was hanged on February 11, 1984. He was sentenced to death some eight years earlier to his hanging. After eight years uncertain confinement in a solitary cell, he was hurriedly sent to gallows following the assassination of an Indian Diplo-mat in England.
