AMRITSAR: The metropolitan Magistrate R.P. Gauba reserved the judgment on the application of S. Satwant Singh to initiate a trial against two I.T.B.P. personnel’s that killed S. Beant Singh and seriously wounded Satwant Singh. The magistrate will deliver his judgment on Monday.
The lawyer representing S. Satwant Singh, R.S. Sodhi pleaded with the court that it is obligatory for the court to duly examine not only the complainant but also the witnesses. He added that the magistrate could not dismiss the case without recording the statement of the complainant and the witnesses.
