ISLAMABAD: The Central and Executive committees of the Jammu and Kashmir Liberation Front have suspended the front’s chief, Amanullah Khan, for an indefinite period and annulled his announcement of a provincial government for the independent state of Jammu and Kashmir.
The provincial government announced by Amanullah Khan as chairman of JKLF on June 18 in Muzaffarabad in Pakistan occupied Kashmir created a rift in the leadership of the front which claims to be spearheading the activities of secessionists in the valley.
At a meeting of the central and executive committees of JKLF on Saturday, the members termed their chairman’s action as unilateral, inopportune and unauthorized “creating confusion in the JKLF leadership.”
