JAIPUR: Bhuvenesh Chaturvedi, minister of State in the Prime Minister’s office, said here that the Lok Sabha elections may be held earlier than June next year.
He however ruled out the possibility of proponing the parliamentary elections to as early as November this year.
During an informal Chat with newsmen at the Pinkeity Press Club here Chaturvedi said elections in Jammu and Kashmir would definitely be held within the next six months.
He said he himself would be visiting Kashmir on July 2and3 for an on the spot assessment of the situation.
While he refused to draw comparisons between P.V. Narasimha Rao and other former prime ministers he claimed that the present prime minister’s three major achievements were economic reforms, cordial Tate center relations and transparency in politics.
