JALANDHAR: Surinder Singh Bahla, president of the District Youth Congress (Rural), owing allegiance 10 Maninderjit Singh Bitta, Jan. 21 demanded dissolution of the Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee headed by Chief Minister, Beant Singh.
This is another step in the continuing War of statements between the Youth Congress leaders owing allegiance to the party’s two factions in Punjab Congress President Maninderjit Singh Billa and the Punjab Chief Minister.
Talking to newsmen here, Babla said a number of “undesirable persons had crept into the organization and were working against the interests of the party and the government A new set-up of the Congress in Punjab was the need of the hour.
