NEW DELHI: Ei Al, the national carrier of Israel is all set to come to India with the first flight from Tel Aviv scheduled to touch down at Bombay on Dec.9.

This follows a bilateral agreement signed last year between the Indian and the Israeli government, which gives landing rights to El Al will initially start with only one flight a week with Bombay as a stopover on its Tel Aviv-Bangkok Tel Aviv sector,

With the establishment of the first direct service between the two countries, the airline is hoping to Capture a major part of the India and Nepal bound tourist traffic from Israel,

According to Sources in the tour ism industry, India gets in the region of 15,000 to 20,000 Israeli tourists each year, while Nepal gets nearly double that number dependently from the present set up.
