The Food Corporation of India (Under the charge of K.P.S. Deo Minister for Food & Supplies and directly under the Prime Minister) is not buying the paddy from Punjab. The paddy is rotting in various Punjab markets. All this is being done to hurt the Punjab farmers economically and to punish them for raising their voice against injustice, repression and right to worship.
Govt. of India has recently placed an order for two million bales of cotton with Pakistan but is not lifting the same variety and quality of cotton from Punjab.
