London: The International Human Rights Organization will be holding demonstrations in various countries all over the world on the 10thof December 1992in front of the UNO office of the respective countries.

The significance of this day is that annually on the 10th of December the UNO celebrates its human rights day. However in India the human rights of Sikhs are being blatancy denied and violated particularly in the Punjab Every day more than ten Sikhs are killed either by the police or the armed forces of India in “fake encounters” or during interrogation in custody the relations of the Sikh activists campaigning for their rights are beings picked up from their homes and tortured severely Recently the mother of Dr Pritam Singh Sekhon of the K.L.F. was brutally tortured in the Dehlon police station She is an eighty two year old widow. The injuries she sustained during her ordeal has left her disabled so that she is unable to walk similarly the brother of Mr. Parmjit Singh Panjwar of K.C.F. Mr. Amarjit Singh was picked up from his place of work by the police and till this day we are unable to trace his whereabouts.

The whole families of Baba Manochahal have been made homeless and a police post has been set up on their premises. In the past his two brothers have been killed by the security forces in Punjab.

In general the UNO has done little to stop the violations of the human rights of the Sikhs in India particularly in Punjab.

The head office of the International Human Rights Organization has instructed all their branches abroad to organize these demonstrations so that the UNO is made aware of the horrendous catalogue of abuses in the Punjab.
