CHANDIGARH: The high court for Punjab and Haryana states has, been on strike since April 6 to protest against the arrest and maltreatment of former judge Ajit Singh Bains, a human rights activists. The full house of the bar association resolved on April 20 to continue the strike until Bains was released unconditionally. Bainsi snow lodged in Chandigarh jail. The Baras associational so called upon district bar association in Punjab and Haryana to trike work. Ina letter from jail, Bains thanked members of the high court bar association for the support extended him and condemned the repressive attitude of the administration.
