Gunmen killed at least 10 people in New Delhi on Tuesday, spraying submachine gun bullets around a southern suburb and at fairs heralding the Hindu New Year, police said.

One of the gunmen was later shot dead at a roadblock, they added.

The four gunmen, two riding a motorcycle, two on a motorcycle, ‘opened fire on at least two holiday fairs and fired indiscriminately in a residential area less than 10 km from the Presidential Palace in the center of the capital.
