NEW DELHI, Oct 18 (UNI) Former President Zail Singh has cancelled all social and public engagements in Uttar Pradesh and Bihar following the announcement of Lok Sabha elections.
Mr Zail singh was to address social and cultural gatherings at Saharanpur, Mathura, Kanpur, Patna and Muzaffarnagar during the next few weeks.
Mr Zail Singh said he had not attended any political meeting after leaving Rashtrapati Bhavan and had no intention of doing so in the future.
The former President said he would continue to meet people at his residence in Delhi.
