NEW DELHI, India, Dec.12 Reuter: Heavy snow forced an Indian Air Force plane carrying Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi 10 turn back today from an airport in Kashmir, the Press Trust of India (PTD said.
The plane returned to Udham pur in Jammu, as Srinagar airport had closed following snowfalls and fog in the past 24 hours in the Kashmir valley, the news agency said.
It said Gandhi’s planned trip to Kashmir and the state’s Ladakh province had been cancelled.
