NEW DELHI, India, June 19, Reuter: At least 14 people were killed and 30 wounded when a bomb exploded in a crowd watching a popular Sunday television serial in the north Indian state of Haryana, the Press Trust of India said.
The news agency said 11 died on the spot, another on the way to hospital and two after being admitted. At least six of the injured were critical.
Gunmen gunned down a rightwing Hindu revivalist leader, his bodyguard and a third person as they drove to Jullundur, 120 km from Chandigarh, capital of the prosperous state of Punjab.
