AMRITSAR: The center has agreed to the BSF proposal to floodlight another 100 odd miles of the border with Pakistan. Most of the border is fenced with barbed wire. However the BSF is of the view that floodlighting is cheaper and far more effective in enforcing the border. Floodlights have proved an effective deterrent to intruders.
