CHANDIGARH India: Freedom fighters shot and wounded five persons including two police officials in different shooting incidents, according to United News of India. Two scooter borne persons shot at and ‘wounded police officials going on a motorcycle near Kala Pindia village, 15 km form Kapurthala. A passerby woman was also injured when a bullet hit her. The condition of the policemen identified as ASI. Sheetal Singh and Constable Pritam Singh was reported serious. According to hospital sources both officers, who were unconscious, have been operated upon. The police patrol party was go into to Jallowal village when the gunmen gave them a chase and Opened fire with automatic weapons from behind, injuring them. The assailants managed to escape, according to police sources. In another incident a school teacher was shot at and seriously injured by three gunmen in Ajnala village, 20 km from Amritsar, last night.
The police identified the injured as Joginder pal Singh.
