Dr. Mohinder Singh Nijar, Orthopedic Surgeon and his wife Dr. Avtarinder Kaur, a Pathologist, live in Modesto but have their practice at Manteca and Tracy. Dr. Nijar did his MB.B.S from the Medical College, Amritsar. Before coming to America in 1977, he worked as consultant at the Orthopedic Hospital, Prince of Wales, England. His wife, Dr. Avtarinder Kaur passed her M.B.B:S from Armed Forces Medical College, Pune, Maharashtra India. She later specialised in Pathology in New York. They were married in 1981 and they are proud parents of a five year old daughter.
Nijjars are a very pleasant couple and they have won large number of friends and admirers with their amiable nature and cultured bearing.
