NEW DELHI: The Manipur Chief Minister has demanded the deployment of the army to combat insurgency which is on the “increase” in the state, the Minister of State for Home, Rajesh Pilot, said recently. Pilot said he had found some “weakness” in the handling of the Situation by the state administration. The Chief Minister, wanted deployment of the Army in the state, Pilot said, adding that the center was prepared to give all help but unless the political will was there, the deployment of the Amy or paramilitary forces would not be of much help.
