JALANDHAR: An indefinite curfew was clamped on Jalandhar town Nov 26 as situation became tense following gunning down of 14 people in the city on Nov 25.
Police have launched a manhunt in the area to capture the fleeing militants, who shot dead 14 people and wounded 11 in firing, Suresh Arora, senior superintendent of police (SSP) Jalandhar told PTT here,
He said the situation was now under control.
The curfew, which came into force from 6 am Nov 26, covers the entire Jalandhar area.
