The news of Mr. J. J. Singh’s passing is a great sorrow to all of us in Dartmouth and Halifax,

N.S.

We, the Maritime Sikh Society and his friends wish the family to know that they have our heartfelt sympathy.

Mr. J. J. Singh came to Canada in 1972. He led a rich and full life in Soroti, Uganda (East Africa), where he was the Principal of an Elementary School for a good many years.

Leaving behind nostalgic memories of the diverse, fertile, beautiful and evergreen area of Uganda, often referred to as “‘The Pearl of Africa,” Mr. J. J. Singh settled in Dartmouth, N.S.

Being so much a part of the Sikh way of life, he was elected to serve as The President of ‘The Maritime Sikh Society”’ in 1974.

Admired and loved by his family and friends, he encouraged in his children integrity and a love for learning.

We send our deepest sympathy to the family and pray that his soul may rest in peace.

Please accept our heartfelt condolences in this hour of sorrow.

The Maritime

Sikh Society,
