We Believe that:

  1. A Vatican like status for the Haram- Ash- Sharif/Masjid- A- Aqsa and Church of the Holy Sepulcher will allow the people of the Book, Christians, Jews and Muslims, to coexist in Jerusalem where through an extraordinary con- Junction of mythologies the plot of land on which Haram-Ash-Sharif/Masjid-A- Aqsa now stand is hallowed by the worlds three major monotheistic religions- Judaism, Christianity and Islam. Similarly a grant of Vatican like status by Egypt to the site of Gods revelation to Prophet Moses on Mount Sinai would be noble gesture of peace in the volatile Middle East and would stand as a beacon of goodwill and hope for all mankind.
  2. If the Christians, Muslims and Jews of the world debate and understand that a vital issue of some of the holiest sites in Christianity, Islam and Judai (Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Haram-Ash- Sharif and Mount Sinai respectively) are involved they will value, support and urge a precedent setting gesture of Pakistan which grants a Vatican like status to Gurdwara Nankana Sahib one Of the holiest sites of the monotheistic Sikh religion.
  3. Grant of a Vatican like status to Gurdwara Nankana Sahib, located in Pakistan and the birth place of (1469 AD) of the founder of the Sikh religion Guru Baba Nanak (a holy personality revered by Muslims also, would set an excellent precedent for the United Nations, or individual governments, to grant a similar status to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Haram-Ash-Sharif in Jerusalem and Mount Sinai in Egypt.
  4. A grant of a Vatican like status to the Gurdwara Nankana Sahib would electrify and unite the 18 million Sikhs and one hundred million Muslims in India It would all sobering peace, safety and tranquility to the 700 million Hindus of South Asia who feel threatened by India’s small monotheistic minorities; the Sikhs in the Punjab, the Christians in Assam and the Muslims in Kashmir.
  5. Supporter opposition to a harmless and noble proposal for grant of a Vatican like status to Gurdwara Nankana Sahib, Church of the Holy Sepulcher, Mount Sinai and Haram-Ash-Sharif would be a litmus test to sift friend from foe for the Sikhs, Christians, Jews and Muslims of the world.

We take one additional lesson from history; Bipartisan public support is essential for the success or initiation of any policy in any country. Therefore, Jews, Christians, Muslims and Sikhs the world over from any school of thought and from all walks of life, could debate and support with clarity and candor the initiation of a policy by the United Nations or individual governments which calls for a Vatican like status for the holy sites of the world’s monotheistic religions-Judaism, Christianity, Islam and Sikhism.

We believe that with the help of Almighty God, we can and will succeed in this endeavor and that is why we have made this statement. We ask our Jewish, Christian, Muslim and Sikh brothers and sisters to join with us in this noble cause.
