NEW DELHI: Mr S.J S.Chhatwal a former Indian High Commissioner in Ottawa Canada has been appointed a member of the Union Public Service Commission. He is the first career diplomat from the IFS to be appointed to the UPSC. Mr Chatwal 60 retired from service last year and returned from Canada to settle down in Delhi at the end of a distinguished diplomatic career of 35 years. He is proficient in five languages including Spanish Punjabi and Hindi. He was for some time a Visiting Professor of Jawaharlal Nehru University.
