NEW DELHI: Win Chadha, an accused in the Bofors case, has been granted personal hearing or
June 21 before the chief passport officer, official sources said here on Tuesday.
Chadha, currently based in Dubai, has been granted the hearing to argue his appeal against the order revoking his passport.
Chadha’s passport was revoked following his failure to appear before the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for examination in the Bofors case.
The sources said Chadha could personally argue his appeal or send a lawyer or a representative for the purpose.
Even if Chadha succeeds in his appeal he will have to be issued a fresh passport as his old passport stands revoked, the sources said.
