JAMMU: At least42 people were injured in two powerful explosions in a cinema hall and a bus stand, within minutes of each other, on May 3.

The first blast took place in a cinema hall in the busy Jewel Bazar injuring 25 people. Official sources said two suspects involved in the blast were among the injured. And we readmitted to hospital under tight security.

Sources said the 13people were injured in the second explosion inside an empty bus at the general bus stand.

One person was crushed by a security forces’ vehicle in Pattan (Baramulla). Residents of Pattan earlier said the person was killed by security forces.

One BSF Jawan identified as Ghulam Mohammad was injured when a grenade exploded on a picket at Naidkadal in Srinagar.

Two passersby were injured when the: security forces fired on militants, the sources said.
