BOMBY: Prof. Dalip Singh, a wanted man by the Punjab police who is Vice-Principal of Guru Nanak Khalsa College here, has been detained under the Terrorist and Disruptive Activities Acts.
He is being taken to Chandigarh the Capital City of the disturbed northern state of Punjab along with two others.
Dalip Singh, Jagmohan Singh, a lecturer in Bombay’s prestigious Jaihind college, and Paramijit Singh, a local businessman were held following certain disclosures made by militants picked up by the Punjab police.
Police sources here said that the three harbored and financed some militants during their visits to the city.
Daljit Singh has been teaching at the Khalsa College for the last 25 years and was head of the History Department before he took over as the Vice-Principal four years ago. He was never suspected till the militants linked his name to certain recent incidents, police sources said.
