STOCKHOLM,SWEDEN: Sweden is seeking to help from Russia and the Baltic states to stop the smuggling of hundreds of refugees crossing the Baltic Sea, officials said Monday. The government also plans to tighten its liberal immigration laws. At least five ships from Russian, Estonian and Latvian ports have brought more than 600 refugees, mostly Iraqi Kurds, to Sweden since October. Thousands more are waiting in Moscow for passage to Scandinavia.
