NEW DELHI: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Wednesday offered the part’s ticket to cine star Shatrughan Sinha for a seat in Lok Sabha (lower house of Indian parliament) in the forthcoming by-election.

The offer was made by BJP national secretary Madan Lal Khurana when he met Sinha here. Sinha, who campaigned for the BIP in the last two elections, said he would consider the “proposal sympathetically” in two or three days, Khurana told newsmen.

Khurana said other probable names being considered by the party high command are: Arun Jaitley, an eminent lawyer, Arun Shourie, former editor of Indian Express, Vijay Kumar Malhotra, BP leader and lla Pant, wife of former defense minister, K C paint.

The BJP leader said false promises made by the Congress-I government servants, the government’s performance in 100 days and its failure to curb price rise would be the issues in the by-election.
