AGRA(PTI): Laloo Prasad Yadav, chief minister of eastern India’s Bihar state has called for banning India’s major opposition party, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) saying only then can the wounds caused by the fallout of last December’s demolition of a disputed mosque in north India’s Ayodhya town.

Yadav told reporters during a stopover here April 8 that India was standing at the “edge of a precipice because of the collusion of the BJP and the Congress (I).”

The chief minister, who was on his way to Shikohabad, said the explosions in Bombay and Calcutta could create a conflagration that could well destroy the country.

Yadav said communalism in Bihar had been checked with the cooperation of officials and the people.
