AMRITSAR, Punjab, India: The rift between the militant groups and Akal Takht Jathedar Bhai Jasbir Singh Khalsa widened further with General Labh Singh accusing him of hobnob bing with the Central Government and the Takht Chief painting out that some militant organizations are engaging in flouting Sikh tenets,
In a hand written statement issued on May 6, General Labh Singh, the Chief of Khalistan Com man do Force, said that in his recent meetings with Jathedar Jasbir Singh and Gurjt Singh, he has observed that both are toeing the government time. Administering an indirect warning to both of them, he threatened that anyone deceiving the Sikh community and deviating from the demand for Khalistan will be death with severely in accordance with Sikh traditions.
Calling for a boycott of these persons General Labh Singh ex pressed his disapproval of the Five Member disciplinary committee appointed by the Jathedar Akal Takht for maintaining the sanctity in the Golden Temple. The panel comprising the major militant organizations as well as the chief of Akal takht, was formed to check the illegal and unlawful activities in the Golden Temple Complex.
Expressing his support for the Panthic Committee, spokesman Bhai Nirvair Singh and Bhai Jagir Singh, General Labh Singh, warned any wrong act on the complex and misuse of his organization’s name by anybody will not be tolerated. He said Ribeiro’s statement in the Golden Temple Complex indicated that the Government has brought its agents within the Complex.
