Sir,

I understand one misguided Sikh brother has been going around collecting donations from the Sikh community claiming the money is needed to help pay for the election debts of Mr. Ijaz Ul Hag, son of the late general Zia Ul Haq. Mr. Ijaz Ul Haq is presently serving as the Minister of Labour in the Government of Pakistan.

There is great emotional anneal in the Haq name in the Sikh community as every Sikh believes that General Zia Ul Haq was a Sincere friend of Khalistan. I am certain Mr. Ijaz Ul Haq is an honest self-respecting man. As such he could not have permitted anyone to exploit the memory of his father for money, especially from the beleaguered Sikhs, who are facing genocide in fascist India, and whose financial resources are presently so limited and whose community needs are so great. I will appreciate it if you publish this letter. A. Shaikh
