NEW DELHI, India: Mr. S.S. Barnala and his former ruling party colleagues have not lost their heart in a bid to recapture their lost “chairs” in Chandigarh.
In a new public relation move, Mr. Barnala and Balwant Singh hosted a dinner to the leaders of various opposition parties, including Telgu Desam, Janata Party, Lok Dal (both groups), A.ID.
M.K., C.P.I., C.P:M. and Assam ruling party. Both the Akali leaders highlighted the increase in violence in the State after the dismissal and the imposition of their President’s rule. Both the leaders who are apparently trying to fish in the troubled waters also sought the help of their old benefactor, Mr. Arjun Singh, the Centre’s Communication Minister.
