Chandigarh: S. Parkash Singh Badal, former chief Minister of Punjab, is not prepared to join the Barnala, Minister in any capacity other than that of Deputy Chief Minister. Mr. Barnala is persisting with his request and wants him to join the Ministry as No. 2 man. He is however reluctant to create the office of Deputy Chief Minister as there is no such precedent in Punjab. Whether Badal will hold on to his stand or succumb to the temptation is difficult to imagine at this stage.
