NEW DELHI; Leader of the B.J.P group in the Rajya Sabha L.K.Advani on May 6,1992 supported the move to hold joint Indo U.S. naval exercises and said those were necessary in the changed world situation.
Earlier, India’s defence minister Sharad Pawar told the house that” the exercises would not be cancelled because of the differences: between the two countries on the Russian rocket technology,
The minister said that the exercises would be conducted somewhere between Cochin and Goa regions of the Arabian Sea.
