LUDHIANA India: Three gunmen shot dead an army jawan at the main gate of the Badowal military camp on Ferozepur Road and injured a passerby. The District Police Chief Mr. B.S. Gill said that the assailants came to the main gate of the camp on a scooter and started a conversation with the guard. One of the assailants pounced upon him and tried to snatch the stengun but did not succeed. Then the other assailant opened fire and killed the jawan on the spot and injured a passerby on a cycle Ram Lok Singh an employee of the telephone company. He sustained minor injuries. Army authorities have identified this jawan as S Khungari
