JALANDHAR: It is the tum of another Punjabi Hindu, Romesh Kumar, to be tortured by the police. Kumar is the owner of a newspaper agency, Shakti News Agency.
Kumar in a statement said that he was arrested by the police on Tuesday last and was tortured for three days. It is difficult for him to walk or even to speak after one week of torture. His entire body is paralyzed as a result of police beating.
The police allegation against Kumar was that Sikh militants visited him. He denied the charge.
