SAN DIEGO: About 30 undocumented migrants made a “banzai run” for the border Feb.22, rushing into the United States en masse through a Mexican port of entry and into oncoming traffic on an interstate highway, the U.S. Border Patrol said. It was the second such run in three days. Border Patrol officials said roughly 100 illegal aliens made a similar mad dash on Feb.20. Before making their run, the migrants apparently gather just south of an area where Mexican customs officers monitor traffic entering Mexico, said Border Patrol spokesman.
