BANGALORE (PTI): The German Ambassador to India, F. Elbe on Nov.25 said India, by its recent economic liberalization, provided a window for foreign investments in this country and the German government viewed it as a ‘future mega market.”
Speaking at the inauguration of the Siemens Information System Limited’s (SISL) software center here, he said the new economic policies would help India participate and compete in the global market, Economic development of any country depended on its participation in the globalization process, he added.
Elbe said the new guidelines formulated by the German govemment recently had stressed the need to develop economic cooperation with Asia in general and India in particular, considering its vast potential in the area of skills, talented businessmen, scientists and brilliant academic institutions.
R.Pernstich, Sis] chairman, said the Bangalore center would work a$ a competence center and develop software for manufacturing applications and real time systems, solutions and computerized translation.
