CHANDIGARH, India: Mr. Charanjit Singh Walia, Member Parliament, Patiala, and whip of the Akali Parliamentary Party told the newsmen at Chandigarh that the Akali Party will focus the attention of the country on the atrocities being currently committed against the Sikhs during the current session of the Lok Sabha. He also declared that he will highlight the particular instances to focus attention of the country on the Punjab issue. Mr. Walia charged the present administration as a “police raj” and termed it as “rule of jungle” in place of rule of law. He described the attitude of the Center and the State governments as anti-Punjab and repressive. He declared that they will continue to fight against repression and! Oppression.
