WASHINGTON DC: On April 111992 the students of Akal Academy Sant Attar Singh Ji Baba Iqbal Singh Ji of Hari Sadhan Asharam Baru Sahib paida visit at the International Sikh Secretariat building at Capitol Hill Washington DC.

On their arrival at 3:50 p.m they were greeted at the main entrance and were taken round the three storey building which includes a swimming pool inside the building. Baba Iqbal Singh & Baba Harbhajan along with others was highly impressed with site of this historical building located just behind the Library of Congress. Baba Iqbal Singh Ji gave his valuable comments that a Sikh Reference Library Research & Publication wing also be established on the premises of this W.S.O. U.S.A. Secretariat.

The Kirtan Program lasted more than two hours in the presence of Sri Guru Granth Sahib in the Assembly Hall of the building. While addressing the Sikh Congregation Baba Iqbal Singh narrated the Sikh history from the Moughal period up the present.

The Sikhs fought many battles with Abdali & Nadar Shah and the Sikh Nation uprooted the great Kingdom of the Moughal & Maharaja Ranjit Singh who established Sikh freedom while annexing Kashmir Multan including Afghanistan and ruled more than 50 years.

When the British invaded Punjab after the death of Maharaja Ranjit Singh the young Prince Dalip Singh was taken to Punjab A Treaty was made with Sikh Sardars that on becoming Major Prince Dalip Singh would be the Ruler of Punjab. But this did not happen. The Sikh Nation was deceived by the British Indian Govt. In order to attain freedom for India Sikhs made 99% of the sacrifices and in the 1947 partition of India Pakistan was established. All of the assurances given by the ruling India Brahminical were turned down

Sikhs are justified in demanding freedom because Sikhs have remained slaves fighting for freedom.

Baba ji stressed Sikh Unity and wished all success to this International Sikh Sett. Office in Washington D.C. Afterwards Dewan Baba Ji hosted the inauguration ceremony for the portrait of Maharaja Ranjit Singh placed in the Assembly Hall of the Office.

S.Lachhman Singh Aujla manger of Sikh Secretariat Building welcomed Baba Iqbal Singh Ji and the students of Akal Academy Besides this Baba Harbhajan Singh Ji Dr.Manmohan Singh Attwal and Dr.G.SGill were also greeted by those who accompanied Baba Iqbal Singh ji.
