NEW DELHI: The Ambassador designate to U.S. Abid Hussain says the challenge in his new assignment is to make the United States more “responsive’’ to India especially because both countries are bound together by democratic principles and friendly ties among people.
In an exclusive interview to PTI Hussain was “hopeful” of getting the requisite response from U.S
“We must strive our hardest to give a correct message to America that India is not anti-American. As a matter of fact, our record has been that in almost all world issues we have tried to evolve consensus and not support unilateral decisions under duress” from either of the superpowers, he said.
