SHIMLA: The sensational Usha murder case of Himachal Pradesh University (HPU) is likely to take anew tum following the report of PGI doctor Paremanand Kulhara. ‘The report confirms that prime accused Kush Sharma, the son of the victim and an assistant professor at HPU was suffering from paranoid schizophrenia.
In his report, Dr. Kulhara said, “Kush has a false but firm belief that he is omnipotent and omniscient, He had also delusions of grandiose ability and was suffering from paranoia, He had no remorse or any emotional reaction towards the sad way in which his mother died.” Dr. ‘Kuthara said; “This man. (Kush) requires treatment and I ‘am of the opinion that, for his own. safety as well the safety of others he requires to be put in a secure mental hospital. Kush is reported to have told the: PGI doctor that he had seen ghosts around the house. Regarding the events of the night that his mother had been killed, his versions were inconsistent; On a few occasions he had admitted that he had killed his mother. On others he had said that the ghosts did job for him. Kushhad also said that the rebel in him had committed the crime. Dr. Kulhara says in his report that Kush was initially calm and quite but later became extremely agitated and threatening.
