OTTAWA: The World Sikh organization has learned that Mann Singh Sidhu has been denied his fundamental right to appeal the decision of the Canadian government to deport him.
Without factual evidence, and without allowing Sidhu access to his files, the Department of Citizenship and Immigration and the Supreme Court of Canada, have sentenced Sidhu to death. Taking no heed of psychological reports that aitest to the extreme torture and suffering experienced by Sidhu, ignoring expert witnesses who document continuing atrocities committed against Sikhs in India, and rejecting the sound evidential fact of the oppressive practices of the Indian government, the Canadian government has once again told the Sikh community that they are not worthy of their fundamental rights.
We entreat all members of the Sikh community to rally together to aid Sidhu. Please call your local Member of Parliament and your local media representatives, tell them your concerns, and help us to keep Sidhu safe from harm, safe from deportation to his own death in India.
