AMRITSAR: All major militant groups have issued separate statements warning extortionists to desist from their evil practices of harassing the public.
Bhai Mehhnga Singh on behalf of the panthic committee associated with Baba Gurbachan Singh Manochahal wamed these elements who demanded Rs 1 lakh from a woman teacher of Chananke village.
Bhai Mohinder Singh Bijliwal of Babbar Khalsa International said that those elements of Marhri Tarpai Bhangali and Mehnga Chak who threatened people for money and acted for personal revenge would have to pay dearly for their misdeeds.
Bhai Harminderpal Singh who recently joined the Panjwar group in a statement warmed the blackmailers of Aklia Khurd to desist from their actions Otherwise strong action would be taken against them.
Bhai Arwinder Singh Kaironwal of K.C.F. approached all militant activists to ensure that members of farming community irrespective of their religion should not be harassed for money by anti-social elements functioning under cover of militant groups.
Militant groups associated with the panthic committee (Dr.Sohan Singh and others) at a meeting held near Barnala passed a resolution asking liquor traders and extortionists to stop their misdeeds. The resolution also noted that certain Sikhs belonging to Sarabha Pakhowal Dagen Lila Rajgarh Kailey Litran and Tajgarh had violated the sanctity of “amrit” and were indulging in undesirable activities. They should undergo the “amrit” ceremony again and stop their misdeeds.
