Dear Mr. President:

I originally belong to India have worked in Iraq for two years and am now a naturalized U.S. citizen. I had the privilege of listening to the innermost views of both my American and Arabi friends.

I want to share with you that almost 90% of the Arabs and about 40% of the American people were critical of the American government policy on the Gulf conflict and saying that America does not really care about human rights or the freedom of Kuwait or any other country all it cares for the interests of some big oil cartels and further that America has double standards when enforcing the U.N regulations one for Israel and the other for Iraq or P.L.O.

Lam of the firm belief that your action in regard to the liberation of Kuwait was based on justice truth and protection of human rights. By liberating Kuwait you not only upheld the international Jaw but also saved the world from another budding Hitler.

But I believe it is the time to play the honest broker and apply the same standards of international justice on all countries including India Israel and many others who have to implement the U.N. resolutions.

I suggest that you call a U.N. session and give these countries an opportunity to prove their positions. But if after review the majority at the U.N. feels that these resolutions need to be implemented as originally passed or in a somewhat modified form then these countries be shown no further favor and be urged to implement these resolutions without further delay.

The example of Iraq will be enough to ensure compliance with the international law without force.

By making countries like Israel and India implement the U.N. resolutions America will wipe out all the previous allegations of double standards and establish itself as an honest broker not only in the Middle East but throughout the world. Such an image of truth and justice for America will prove more economical than all the military bases or security arrangements combined.
