JOHANNESBURG: Unidentified gunmen opened a volley of fire from their automatic weapons on the home of African National President Nelson Mandela in the black township of Soweto Thursday night.
The ANC department of information and publicity in a statement on Friday afternoon said at about 10 p.m. (local time) on Thursday night two short bursts of fire were directed at Mandela’s home by assailants
