OTTAWA: On the morning of June 5 Sikhs from across Canada held a protest demonstration in front of the Parliament of Canada. One of the speakers told the gathering that Justice Ajit Singh Bains visited Ottawa three times since 1986 He struggled hard as a human rights activist to bring to the outside world the plight of the Sikhs in India by the Indian police and army If a man of Justice Bains Stature has to go through torture and degrading treatment at the hands of India police one can well imagine the plight of common Sikhs in India While in Canada Justice Bains told the Canadian parliamentarians on two luncheon meetings that if there is any terrorism in India it is the state terrorism by the Indian government The timid and Hippocratic Canadian government helps in perpetuating slate terrorism by the Indian government by providing huge financial aid to India.

Under the circumstances at least those for members of Canadian parliament (about 40) who met Justice Bains Personally during his visits has a moral obligation to register their protest by writing to the Indian government the torture killing and degrading treatment of Sikh by the government of India for the past decade should be a matter of shame for our so-Called civilized society in the west Shame-Shame-Shame.
