CHANDIGARH: Punjab chief minister Beant Singh stated at Patiala on Saturday that his government had decided to take action against Sikh leaders who recently give a call for freedom from India at Anandpur Saheb.

The chief minister told the media that no leader howsoever important would be spared for demanding freedom and hinted that Baba Thakur Singh Baba Joginder Singh Bhai Gurdev Singh Kaonke Bhai Savinder Singh and Bhai Jasbir Singh Roda would be put in prison.

Beant Singh supported Haryana’s demand for completing the S.Y.L. canal. He also supported Rajasthan’s case for continued flow of Punjab water to that state notwithstanding Babbar Khalsa Internationals threat of action against those who talked to these states on the water issue:
