CHANDIGARH: Members of the Sikh intelligentsia- journalists, advocates, professors have become the latest target of security forces in Punjab.

Punjabi Tribune and Alt Correspondent for Bhiwanigarh Ranjit Singh was kept in legal custody by the local police for nine hours and tortured. Earlier, the journalists noted, a Sangrur based journalist Suk winder Singh Phul was arrested under TADA but a court leased him on bail.
